Protouch Staffing seeks a Precision Machining Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints and GD&T, and perform precise dimensional inspections to ensure component quality.

The role requires hands-on CNC experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC mills, lathes or similar machinery experience.
• Manufacturing or precision machining experience.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and machining tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision tools.
• Familiarity with CNC programming or CAM programming.
• Understanding of tooling setup and fabrication processes.
• Welding or materials handling experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC milling machines, lathes and machining centers.
• Operate stamping presses and other manufacturing equipment as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other instruments.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and follow safety procedures.
• Handle materials, tooling and production components using appropriate equipment.
• Support material handling, packaging, fabrication and assembly activities.
• Work with team to meet production quality and delivery targets.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure components meet specifications.
• Follow production procedures and interpret manufacturing documentation.

Job Post Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented CNC Mill and Lathe Operator to support a precision manufacturing operation. The position is responsible for operating CNC and other industrial machinery, producing quality components, performing dimensional inspections, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining safe and efficient production processes.

The ideal candidate should have hands on CNC machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint and GD&T knowledge, precision measurement skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

• Set up operate and monitor CNC milling machines CNC lathes and CNC machining centers
• Operate stamping presses flexo presses press brake machines and other manufacturing equipment as required
• Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings production documents and GD&T requirements
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers calipers gauges and other precision measuring instruments
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment issues
• Perform basic machine maintenance and help minimize production downtimeFollow manufacturing safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work environment
• Handle materials tooling and production components using appropriate equipment
• Support material handling packaging fabrication assembly and production activities
• Work with team members to achieve production quality and delivery requirements
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure manufactured components meet specifications

Qualifications And Certifications

• Hands on experience operating CNC mills CNC lathes or similar industrial machinery
• Manufacturing or precision machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T and machining tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience using micrometers calipers gauges and other precision measurement tools
• Knowledge of shop math and machining calculations
• Familiarity with CNC programming or CAM programming
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls is highly desirable
• Understanding of tooling setup and fabrication processes
• Welding experience is preferred
• Materials handling experience is preferred
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• High school diploma technical training or equivalent manufacturing experience is preferred
