Job summary

Aerotek in Ludlow, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate multi-axis mills and lathes, interpret blueprints, and perform rough and finish machining to tight tolerances for aerospace/defense components.

You will use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, perform in-process checks, and work in a union shop offering strong benefits and long-term opportunities. This onsite role supports high-quality production with a focus on precision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of machinist experience with CNC machines.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Use precision tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and other CNC tools per work instructions.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Input and run CNC programs, including multi-axis operations.
• Plan and perform rough and finish machining on various parts.
• Perform independent setups including tooling and fixturing.
• Monitor operations and adjust for quality and tolerance control.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections with calipers and micrometers.
