Job summary

SHI Europe in Michigan is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to setup and operate multi-axis machines with high precision. You will read blueprints in imperial and metric, verify tolerances, and ensure quality through meticulous inspection of parts.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience, steady performance with low supervision, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines is required.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments and micrometers/calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools to perform precision machining.
• Read and interpret blueprints in imperial/metric standards.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using geometry and part drawings.
• Test cut / dry run CNC programs prior to production runs.
• Follow SOPs and lean practices to meet production targets and quality.
• Inspect parts with gauges to ensure drawing tolerances.
