DeKalb Health in Marine City, MI, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to setup and operate multi-axis machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and related gear generation & testing equipment.

The role requires high-precision measurement, reading complex drawings in imperial and metric standards, and program familiarity with G & M code. Strong lean manufacturing and first-piece mindset are valued in this full-time, non-exempt role.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years operating a mix of manual, semi-automatic, and CNC machines.
• At least 10 years CNC machining experience with high/low mix environments.
• Experience reading complex drawings in imperial and metric standards.
• Proficient with math for dimensions and tolerances; GD&T knowledge helpful.
• Lean manufacturing exposure and ability to train others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools to meet tight tolerances.
• Read blueprints, interpret process sheets and drawings accurately.
• Test cut / dry run CNC programs and verify parts meet specs.
• Inspect parts with gauges to ensure tolerances; document results.
• Collaborate with production and QA to improve efficiency and safety.
