The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with a consistent 6:00am-2:00pm schedule. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, set up tooling, and perform in-process and final inspections using CMM, GD&T, and online programming knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality control.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) practices.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate CNC VMCs, CNC turning centers, a 5‑axis waterjet and a 5‑axis router to produce parts from aluminum, steel, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and composites.
• Assist with tooling design, tooling fabrication, process development and part manufacturing.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes.
• Utilize CMM for quality inspection of finished parts.
• Apply GD&T to ensure machining precision.
• Know-how in G-code and M-code online programming and setting up equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machines; perform regular inspections and minor repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize machining via Lean practices.
• Navigate a Windows PC and uphold safety standards.
