Job summary

Therm-x of California, based in Modesto, CA, is seeking skilled CNC Machinists for full-time positions on swing and day shifts. Candidates should have at least 5 years of CNC machining experience and be proficient with a range of machines including Doosan, Mazak, Okuma, and Haas systems.

You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, read complex prints, install tooling, load programs, and troubleshoot to improve quality and efficiency. A strong emphasis on precision and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proven setup and operation experience on listed machines (or similar).
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with complex setups and tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of live tooling and simultaneous multi-axis machining.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills according to job requirements.
• Work with multi-axis and mill/turn equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets.
• Install tooling, set work offsets, load programs, and make adjustments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with programming, quality, and production teams.
