Job summary

Therm-x of California in Modesto is seeking skilled CNC Machinists with hands-on experience operating and maintaining CNC lathes and mills. Swing and day shifts are available at the Modesto facility for hi-tech manufacturing.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ CNC machining experience, read and interpret complex prints, and set up tooling with tight tolerances. Strong problem-solving and independent work skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Proven setup and operation on multiple CNC machines listed.
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and cutting parameters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills according to job requirements.
• Work with multi-axis and mill/turn equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets.
• Install tooling, set work offsets, load programs, and make adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with programming, quality, and production teams.

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists at all levels (I–III and Senior) with hands‑on experience operating and maintaining various machines. This position is located at our Modesto facility for both swing and day shifts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills according to job requirements
• Work with multi‑axis and mill/turn equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets
• Install tooling, set work offsets, load programs, and make adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for quality and efficiency
• Maintain machines and keep the work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with programming, quality, and production teams

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience

• Strong understanding of G‑code, tooling, and cutting parameters
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with complex setups and tight tolerances
• Knowledge of live tooling and simultaneous multi‑axis machining
