Job summary

The Machinist role in Grand Island is part of the Production Department supporting Operations and Manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and leadership skills essential for success.

Key duties include operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and performing setup and troubleshooting to ensure quality parts. Excellent pay and benefits accompany a stable, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or considered with relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of machine operating experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to program CNC machines from drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, thread dimensions and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work overtime or alternative shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines for production requirements and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing documents to produce parts to quality standards.
• Mentor and train machine operators while assisting supervisors with daily production workflow and quality initiatives.
• Monitor production processes, maintain accurate documentation, and report safety and quality concerns.
