Shapco Inc. in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Machine Operator IV (Machinist) to operate multiple machines and ensure production targets are met with quality parts.

The role requires sharp attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting. You will program CNC machines, monitor operations, perform preventive tasks, read drawings, and train junior operators.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Team collaboration and effective communication.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols (PPE).
• Read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Operate multiple machinery safely and independently.
• Adjust machine settings and monitor performance.
• Load raw materials and remove finished parts.
• Inspect parts with designated measuring tools.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and lubrication.
• Record machine actions and log produced parts.
• Read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Train lower-level operators and mentor teammates.
• Program CNC machines as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize output.
