Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; journeyman preferred.
• 8+ years of CNC machining experience setting up and operating lathes and mills.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T application skills.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and troubleshooting.
• Ability to mentor junior machinists and lead improvements.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complete CNC lathe and mill setups.
• Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T to determine setups and inspections.
• Choose tooling, work holding, and machining strategies for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machines, tooling, programming, and quality issues.
• Lead process optimization to improve cycle time and tool life.
• Perform first article inspections and support validations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production.
• Mentor Machinist I–III and support training.
• Support new product launches and prototype work.
• Document processes and maintain material traceability.
