Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Arlington, WA seeks a CNC Machinist II for 1st shift to set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines producing space-grade components.

You will work with tough materials like Inconel, copper, and ensure tight tolerances using GD&T and blueprints, collaborating with Engineering and Quality.

This role requires a high school diploma and 2–5 years of machining experience; a strong work ethic and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience operating shop tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to stand/walk, lift up to 40 lb.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines for space/defense components.
• Machine hard metals like Inconel and copper with appropriate speeds and tooling.
• Ensure parts meet drawings, specs and STP files; support quality inspections.
