Job summary

Qualifications

• Independent setup and prove-out competency signed off on all required turning and machining-center categories.
• Able to interpret prints, models, GD&T, datums, tolerances and translate into setup decisions.
• Edit and correct programs at the control, including canned cycles and offset structures.
• Prove out CAM programs and collaborate with CAM to release parts.
• Own dimensional quality at the machine using precision measuring equipment and conduct first-article inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups independently on CNC turning and machining centers—workholding, tooling, program load, offsets, and first-piece qualification.
• Prove out new and revised programs at the control, adjusting toolpaths, offsets, feeds, and speeds to achieve tolerance and cycle time targets.
• Decide operation sequence, tooling and insert grade, workholding, and cutting conditions for new parts; document decisions for repeatability.
• Edit and correct programs at the control, including subprogram calls and offsets.
• Interpret prints and GD&T to guide setup and inspection decisions.
• Own and verify dimensional quality using measuring equipment and perform first-article inspections.
