Job summary

Hunting's Dearborn Division in Fryeburg, ME seeks experienced CNC Machinists to operate lathes, mills and grinders on high-precision components for aerospace and defense applications. On-site work with opportunity to machine exotic metals and one-of-a-kind parts used in rockets and jet engines, with in-depth training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC experience or 2 years CNC experience with associate’s degree.
• Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with GD&T.
• Experience with CNC machine setup and G-code programming.
• Experience with common measuring devices.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic shop math.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance.
• Knowledge of Cartesian coordinate system.
• Safe work habits.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and run CNC equipment to prove out new machining processes and G-code.
• Perform CNC machine adjustments and program edits.
• Set-up Machine Tooling and provide maintenance.
• Use various types of inspection tools.
• Perform setup operations to process documents.
• Perform basic part measurement inspections.
• Maintain traceability (product, material, and calibration).
• Load parts with hoist system.
• Create, inspect, and document part features.
