Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. seeks an experienced CNC Programmer for our Canastota, NY facility. You will write and optimize CAM programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and lathes, supporting machinists during setup and ensuring accuracy through simulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks required.
• Strong reading comprehension skills.
• Programming experience for 3, 4 and 5-axis mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC instructions and CAM programs.
• Support machinists during CNC setup.
• Calculate material cuts and tool paths.
• Translate designs into CAM programs and verify via simulations.
• Check programs by running simulations and tests.
• Plan tool selection and operation sequences.
• Improve set up times and contouring of complex shapes.
• Ensure safety and comply with rules.
