Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to independently set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes in a job-shop environment in Portland, Indiana. The role emphasizes CAD/CAM programming, blueprint interpretation, and continuous process improvement.

You will develop programs from scratch (Fusion 360 preferred, Mastercam or similar also valuable), troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate across departments to meet tight tolerances and reduce costs.

Formación

• Associate degree or higher in Machining or related technical field.
• Strong CNC machining experience with independent setup, programming and operation.
• Ability to program from scratch using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred). Mastercam or similar software experience is valuable.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Independently set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Develop CNC programs from scratch using CAD/CAM software.
• Set up tooling, adjust offsets, ensure parts meet specs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment and tooling.
• Assist with new equipment installations and process improvements.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
