Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets prints, travelers, and related data to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures.
• Sets up and aligns tooling, attachments, and work piece on the machine.
• Verifies and installs cutting tools; inspects tooling for condition.
• Downloads NC program.
• Sets machine controls for spindle position and cutting parameters.
• Communicates with supervisor or programming staff to resolve issues.
• Operates machines to high efficiency.
• Changes cutting tools and checks conformity to print specifications.
• Inspects/measures parts for conformance.
• Performs preventive maintenance as required.
