Job summary

STS Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC operator to run lathes and milling machines and fabricate parts per blueprints and job plans. You will measure parts with micrometers and gauges, monitor machine performance, and verify conformance to specifications while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement and safe practices on the shop floor. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of CNC operating experience and can follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CNC operating experience is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required.
• High school or technical training is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills and conventional machines to fabricate parts.
• Interpret blueprints, job plans and operation instructions to ensure specs.
• Measure parts using micrometer, vernier or gauges to specs.
• Start and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Verify finished workpiece conformance to specifications.
• Keep work area and machines clean and organized; follow safety rules.
