Job summary

Innovative Rocket Technologies Inc. (iRocket) is seeking a Senior Machinist to own end-to-end CNC setups, run multi-axis machines, and help prove out new programs for R&D builds and short production runs.

You’ll interpret drawings, apply GD&T, and work with live tooling and mill-turn systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The role demands hands-on expertise and a commitment to precision and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as CNC machinist/operator in a precision environment.
• Proficient in G-Code and M-Code; able to troubleshoot and edit programs.
• Experience with multi-axis machining (3+1 / 3+2) and complex toolpaths.
• Experience with live-tooling lathes, mill-turns, or multi-task machines.
• Knowledge of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, alloy steels.
• Strong understanding of tooling, cutters, and fixturing.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and apply it to setups.
• Capable of owning setup and run processes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and setup sheets; apply GD&T.
• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC equipment.
• Configure workholding per docs.
• Run and prove out new CNC programs.
• Diagnose issues; adjust feeds/speeds.
• Perform in-process and final inspection with metrology tools.
• Maintain machines and area; keep clean.
• Balance prototypes and production runs with quality.
