Job summary

Oberg Industries in Freeport, PA and Sarver, PA is seeking an Experienced CNC Machinist to produce complex, high-precision components on multi-axis machines (4-axis/5-axis). You will set up, program, and run Hermle, DMG Mori, Okuma, and Sodick equipment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC experience, read blueprints with GD&T, perform in-process inspections, and troubleshoot to maintain tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-axis machining equipment (4-axis/5-axis).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience performing in-process inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and other precision equipment (Hermle, DMG Mori, Okuma, Sodick).
• Work with 4-axis and 5-axis centers and/or multi-axis lathes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) and adjust offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to process improvements.
