Jobot is seeking a CNC Machinist in California to operate 3–5 axis CNC mills, read engineering drawings, and optimize processes for high-precision parts. You will participate in first article inspections and drive quality improvements in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience operating multi-axis CNC mills.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Select tooling, perform offsets, and optimize machining processes.
• Conduct first article and in-process inspections.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
