SkillSource Tech is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join a growing manufacturing team in Minneapolis. You will set up, program (Fanuc), and operate CNC lathes, read blueprints, and perform first article inspections to ensure tight tolerances.

Shift is 1st, Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm with overtime. 5+ years CNC machining, 3+ years programming, and strong metrology skills are required; CMM experience is a plus.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Minimum 3yrs of CNC Programming experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes - Fanuc control).
• Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
• Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

Mansioni

• Set up, operate, and program Fanuc controlled - CNC Lathes (turning) using Mastercam, Gibbs or other CAM software in accordance with production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
• Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
• Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) using calipers, micrometers, CMM experience is a plus, to measure and inspect parts.
• Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
