Job summary

Extreme Steel, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Senior CNC Machine Operator to lead CNC operations in our production environment. You will operate CNC machinery and laser processing equipment to cut and process structural steel and miscellaneous metals.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, production instructions, and technical specifications.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment independently.
• Ability to lead, train, and support junior machine operators.
• Experience operating forklifts and saws preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical training or CNC certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and laser processing equipment to cut and process structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production requirements, drawings, and specifications.
• Load raw materials and unload finished products safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Read and follow production instructions, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Help guide and support junior CNC machine operators, providing direction and assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine or production issues to minimize downtime.
