Job summary
gpac is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a stable, growing manufacturing company in Michigan. The role involves interpreting drawings, programming, setup, and ensuring tight tolerances on turning, milling, drilling, and boring.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years as a machine operator (CNC or conventional), 3+ years CNC CAM programming, and familiarity with Master CAM (preferred). Okuma DMG experience and Vericut are a plus. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as machine operator (CNC or conventional).
- 3+ years CNC CAM programming.
- Master CAM programming (preferred).
- Excellent attendance record.
- Team-oriented with reliability.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, program sheets, and instructions to determine work to be done.
- Conduct turning, milling, drilling, boring to close tolerances.
- Run programming, setup, and changeover.
- Perform inspection and gauging to maintain quality standards.
- Measure workpieces for conformance to specifications.
- Clean machine, tooling, and parts.
- Operate multiple machines where possible.
