Job summary

Top Talent Recruiter in Troy, AL seeks a CNC Applications Engineer to provide tooling knowledge and program 5-axis milling, Swiss, and multi spindle turning. You will work with Mastercam, G-code, and macros, and support machine run offs and DFM for new product development.

Ideal candidates have CNC programming experience, familiarity with FANUC NC controllers, and Lean/Kanban discipline. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of CNC programming is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years CNC programming experience.
Proficient with Mastercam and CAD/CAM software.
Experience with NC controllers (FANUC) and robotics.

Responsibilities

Creates CNC programs for multi-axis CNC machines (vertical/horizontal milling, mill turns, Swiss lathes).
Identifies and implements solutions for increased machine productivity and capability.
Provides technical support for quality controls, process improvements, cost savings, and development projects.
Supports development of manufacturing processes on multi-axis milling and turning machines.
Develops machining solutions to support new product development.
Leads projects and cross-functional teams to complete initiatives.
Collaborates with vendors on tooling and processes improvements.
Creates tool setup sheets for operators on the shop floor.
Provides CNC technical expertise during DFM for new product development.
