Job summary

Good Samaritan Mandan Sunset is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role reports to the RN and supports other staff while adhering to infection control policies and PPE usage.

Responsibilities include daily living activities, vital signs, documentation, and participation in restorative and wellness programs. Competitive benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus accompany this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing is required.
• Annual 12 hours continuing education required.
• Restorative Nursing training may be required within 6 months.
• May be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of an RN.
• Maintains infection prevention policies and uses PPE as required.
• Supports other clinical staff and participates in problem solving with high accountability.
• Assists with daily living activities: bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, mobility, vital signs, psychosocial support.
• Documents resident interactions and communicates changes to the charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry tasks to keep living areas clean and functional.
• Participates in wellness and recreational programs and restorative nursing tasks.
