Job summary

The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs seeks a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant - Activities to support residents in a long‑term care facility. The incumbent ensures ADLs and activity programming align with assessments and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include documenting plans, assisting with activity development, and performing nursing tasks when needed while maintaining resident safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must have current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License.
• Must be willing and able to work some weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Must have a legible and valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' ADLs and daily activity assignments are completed during the shift.
• Assist with developing and implementing activities programs to improve well‑being.
• Document activity plans and care provided in the resident's medical record.
• Assist with interviewing new residents and entering data into the medical record.
• Provide occasional nursing care within Activity duties and observe resident needs.
• Maintain the activity space and ensure resident safety during activities.
