STEELGATE LLC, based in Augusta, GA, seeks a Lead CMMC Certified Assessor to direct Level 2 DoD CMMC certification assessments. You will lead assessment planning, evidence collection, and final reporting in line with Cyber AB CAP and 32 CFR Part 170/171.

Expect client engagements, team oversight, and strict ethics compliance. Requirements include active LCCA credential and DoD security clearances; 5+ years in cybersecurity leadership; DoD audit experience; and willingness to travel regionally.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold an Active Lead CMMC Certified Assessor (LCCATM) credential or equivalent.
• Active DoD 8140.03 / 8570.01-M Baseline Certification at Advanced Proficiency level.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 3+ years directly conducting IT/cybersecurity audits or control evaluations.
• Minimum 5+ years in a technical leadership, management, or audit lead role.
• U.S. Citizenship required and active DoD Secret Clearance.

Aufgaben

• Lead Level 2 CMMC assessment engagements and manage assessment lifecycle.
• Validate scoping, evidence, and artifacts across NIST controls.
• Prepare defensible reports and manage submissions in CMMC eMASS.
• Supervise assessment teams and ensure ethics and independence.
• Collaborate with engineering/compliance to align ESP hosting with Level 2 baselines.
