Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CMM Programmer to join a Federal Program in Oak Ridge, TN. You will program Coordinate Measuring Machines, validate measurements, and ensure products meet rigorous quality standards.

Responsibilities include creating CMM programs, designing fixtures, interpreting drawings with GD&T, performing Gauge R&R and RCCA, and training technicians. Requires DoE Q or TS clearance and experience with Zeiss Calypso and optical CMMs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.
• Hands-on CMM experience.
• Active DoE Q Clearance or TS Clearance.
• Strong understanding of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
• Ability to execute tasks with minimum supervision.
• Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office.
• Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso.
• Experience programming optical CMMs (ViScan preferred).
• Modeling experience with Creo or other software.
• Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems (NQA-1, AS9100, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485).

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, validate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine programs for production components and calibration of tooling.
• Design and develop CMM fixtures/work holding.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Work with quality engineering to perform Gauge R&R, capability studies, correlations and RCCA activity.
• Troubleshoot CMM programs, probes, fixtures and measurement issues.
• Establish and oversee weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments.
• Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate.
• Train technicians and operators on program setup and execution.
