Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior Quality Control Specialist to support a highly regulated manufacturing and engineering environment. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision components using CMMs and manual equipment while ensuring compliance with engineering and quality requirements.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, ASME Y14.5, and hands-on CMM programming experience (Zeiss Calypso).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T / ASME Y14.5.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components.
• Hands-on CMM programming withZeiss Calypso.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD models and specifications.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and statistical tools preferred.
• Experience with FAI, nonconformance reporting and QC documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final dimensional inspections.
• Develop and execute CMM programs based on drawings and specs.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
• Operate CMMs and manual inspection equipment.
• Evaluate inspection results and complete FAI and nonconformance reports.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis and analyze measurement trends.
• Maintain CMM equipment and calibration accuracy.
• Support training and continuous improvement of inspection processes.
