Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a CIPM Senior Specialist, Project Manager in Rahway, NJ to lead cross-functional teams through the drug and vaccine development lifecycle.

This role focuses on end-to-end project management, integrated planning, and effective governance to drive timely progress in a dynamic environment. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years in project management, with strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate across R&D and commercialization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; concentration in a scientific or applied discipline preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or a related role required
• Experience with planning and execution of strategies for drug/vaccine product registration and lifecycle management
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a resource for colleagues and program teams
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across diverse teams
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to raise issues and influence management

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end development process for moderately complex projects
• Guide teams through integrated project plans appropriate to project phase and complexity
• Build and maintain project schedules and cross-functional information
• Identify risks and ensure clear communication with stakeholders
• Leverage networks to improve team dynamics and remove obstacles
• Navigate governance and business requirements to enable informed decisions
• Prepare for and facilitate key team meetings with thoughtful agendas
• Participate in CIPM and Global Project and Alliance Management initiatives
