Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior CIPM Specialist, Project Manager to drive cross-functional development and commercialization teams in drug and vaccine programs. You will lead end-to-end project plans, align with CIPM and DCTs, and manage schedules, risks, and governance to advance the R&D pipeline.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in project management, strong communication, and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; concentration in a scientific or applied discipline preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or a related role required.
• Experience with drug/vaccine product registration and life-cycle management from a development or commercial perspective.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Capability to influence cross-functional teams and manage complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end development processes for moderately complex projects and align with CIPM strategies.
• Guide creation, approval, and execution of integrated project plans across development phases.
• Build and maintain project schedules and critical information across functional areas.
• Identify risks proactively and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
• Leverage networks to remove obstacles and drive business results.
• Navigate governance and business requirements to enable informed decisions.
• Prepare and facilitate key team meetings with thoughtful agendas and follow-ups.
