Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• CMA certifications: CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, RMA, ARMA.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education.
• Enter orders into the electronic medical system under direction of a provider.
• Assists the physician or APP by coordinating scheduling and referrals.
• Processes calls professionally with sound clinical judgment.
• Develops orientation for Medical Assistants and acts as preceptor.
• Supports quality strategies within the practice.
• Participates in Annual Clinical Review for Medical Assistants.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care knowledge and regulatory awareness.
• Assists business office with reception, scheduling, and discharge of patients.
