Orlando Health Physician Associates is seeking a Senior Certified Medical Assistant to perform patient care under physician or APP supervision in an ambulatory setting. You will lead quality care initiatives and mentor professional practice within the practice.

The team emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration, and ongoing professional development in a busy Central Florida PCP network.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in patient care setting) required.
• Minimum three (3) years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and current MA certifications from recognized authorities.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Participates in quality initiatives, goal attainment, and clinical outcome process improvement activities
• Supports and demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients and family members
• Works collaboratively with the administrative and operations staff.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department specific policies.
