Job summary

Orlando Health Physician Associates seeks a Senior Certified Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care across central Florida locations. The position requires a CMA with 3+ years of experience, current BLS certification, and active CMA/registry credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school.
• Minimum three (3) years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current CMA/NCMA/CCMA/CMAC/NAHP registry certification.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager or Practice Manager for operations.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical outcome improvements.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists in examinations and procedures with the physician or APP.
• Enters medication, orders, and lab results into the EMR under provider direction.
• Prepares patients for examination and coordinates scheduling of tests and referrals.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and age-specific patient needs.
