Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Architect to shape the future of digital engineering across the 02232 ND CM Department. You will work at the systems level to strengthen strategies, processes, tools, and data structures that enable effective CM for complex programs.

You will partner with Systems and Product Realization teams to ensure they have the methods, infrastructure, and guidance needed to meet requirements and execute successfully.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading or coordinating project activities in support of nuclear deterrence (ND) programs and CM efforts.
• Experience with CM, systems engineering, PLM, project management, requirements management, or digital engineering.
• Experience with CM tools such as PDM Link or similar PLM applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the department-level CM architect and facilitator guiding strategic CM initiatives.
• Provide leadership across ND programs by aligning CM Leads on decisions and deliverables.
• Architect scalable CM solutions, data flows, and processes to strengthen traceability.
• Advise on CM-related federal and corporate requirements to improve consistency and compliance.
• Support PRIDE and digital business process architectures that accelerate product realization.
• Partner with engineering, project management, and test teams to strengthen CM practices.
• Define and improve CM processes, tools, and program plans across programs.
• Guide CM and digital engineering tools to reduce redundant effort and improve data quality.
• Improve product and requirements data management across modernization programs.
