Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Owner to lead cloud infrastructure for enterprise FAA-related platforms.

You will drive Kubernetes platform design, IaC, and security across development and production environments, partnering with engineers, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps to deliver reliable, scalable cloud services. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on cloud expertise, and the ability to work in a government-focused program with potential Public Trust suitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field with 8-12 years of experience, or Master's with 6-10 years.
• Extensive experience administering enterprise AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Advanced experience designing, deploying, and administering Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Extensive experience IaC using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Strong automation experience using Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Strong Linux administration, including hardening and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git workflows and IaC.
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPCs.
• Identity management, PKI, TLS/SSL, and cloud security best practices.
• Ability to obtain SF-85 Public Trust; US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, administration, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership for Kubernetes platform administration and upgrades.
• Establish Kubernetes standards including ingress, network policies, storage, and Helm deployments.
• Develop and govern IaC using Terraform and/or CloudFormation across environments.
• Design and manage AWS cloud services for highly available, resilient systems.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Lead Linux platform administration including patching and hardening.
• Design IAM, RBAC, secrets management, PKI, TLS/SSL solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across environments.
• Monitor platform health and collaborate with DevSecOps teams.
