Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Sr System Software Engineer to advance its cloud-based scientific computing platform, enabling physics-based solvers, AI training, inference and visualization at scale from Santa Clara, CA. You will design and own cloud infrastructure for data-intensive workflows across DL frameworks, solvers and GPUs.

You should have 10+ years building distributed compute platforms, strong C++/Go/Rust skills, and a deep understanding of cloud architecture, MPI/NCCL, fault tolerance, and

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related areas or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years experience building and operating distributed compute and data intensive platform as a service on cloud
• Proven skill in a compiled language (Go, Rust, C++ or otherwise).
• Strong foundational knowledge in Cloud Computing and virtualization concepts.
• Proven skills in Distributed Systems & Parallel Processing, fault tolerance and consensus protocols.
• Hands on debugging skills with processes, threads, deadlock and synchronization.

Responsibilities

• Design services and own underlying cloud infrastructure for physics-informed and data-driven scientific workflows.
• Design novel algorithms and improve system performance across DL Frameworks, solvers, microservices and HPC components.
• Build, deploy and operate scalable I/O infrastructure for checkpointing, data loading and post-processing.
