Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to build and operate a cloud-based scientific computing platform for physics solvers, AI training/inference, and visualization workloads. You’ll own cloud infrastructure, optimize distributed systems, and drive scalable data I/O across CPUs and GPUs.

Candidates should have 10+ years in distributed compute, strong C++/Go/Rust, and deep cloud architecture knowledge.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years building and operating distributed compute and data-intensive platforms as a service on cloud.
Proven skill in a compiled language (Go, Rust, C++).
Strong cloud computing knowledge and virtualization fundamentals.
Proven distributed systems & parallel processing expertise (topology, synchronization, fault tolerance, MPI/NCCL).
Hands-on debugging of processes, threads, memory, I/O and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Design services and own cloud infrastructure for physics-informed and data-driven workflows.
Develop algorithms and optimize performance across CPU/GPU stacks and microservices.
Build, deploy and operate scalable I/O, checkpointing, data loading, and post-processing workflows.
Improve compute, storage and network architecture for physics- and simulation-driven apps.
