Job summary

Amazon Dedicated Cloud Networking seeks engineers to own and evolve software services that keep the AWS network running. You will lead design, automation, and deployment with global teams, focusing on high availability and scalable cloud infrastructure.

You’ll mentor peers, shape architectures, and drive improvements that reduce manual toil while delivering reliable, secure cloud services for government workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
• 6+ years deploying and operating in Linux/Unix environments.
• 6+ years of systems development in IT or data center environments.
• 3+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
• 6+ years of programming in modern languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Own the software services and platforms that keep the AWS network running within the region.
• Lead the engineering effort to reinvent services to be more resilient, automated, and scalable.
• Develop automation to minimize human intervention and create self-healing workflows.
• Design and implement new software components, products, and services to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and long-term fixes for incidents.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
• Collaborate with global service teams to ensure successful deployments and problem resolution.
