Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Networking organization to join a team designing and developing software and services at scale in Seattle. The role emphasizes autonomy, strong communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You will drive designs for components, write optimized code, review peers’ work, and help operate scalable services that meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Drive designs for components and services that deliver new features and capabilities.
• Prepare estimates for upcoming deliverables and document proposed solutions.
• Review code of other team members and write well-structured, optimized code.
• Perform root cause analysis on operational events and provide updates to leadership.
