Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud Systems Architect in Los Angeles to engineer and support public, private, and hybrid clouds. The role requires proficiency with AWS and Azure and a strong background in cloud security and architecture.

The candidate will lead cloud management strategy discussions, ensure secure data and network resources, and collaborate with development teams to migrate applications and systems to the cloud.

Qualifications

• Experience with the technology required for cloud computing.
• Experience with migrating applications to the cloud.
• Ability to build relationships between customers and team members.
• Knowledge to integrate services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Ability to implement security information and event management to protect assets.
• Experience with AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on cloud management strategies to maximize workload flexibility and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT Security to manage cloud security of data and resources.
• Engineer on customer-premise applications and systems connected to cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine system specifications and ensure hardware/software compatibility and security.
• Coordinate subsystems and integration of total system; identify and resolve deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions; provide technical guidance as needed.
