Job summary

i3 is a Huntsville-based technology firm seeking a senior IT Systems Administrator to support cloud and on-prem technologies, configure virtual/physical machines, monitor performance, and drive end-to-end IT solutions. Strong emphasis on security, DISA STIGs, RMF packages, and DoD compliance.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s in a related field, 6–12 years of experience, and proficiency with PowerShell, AD, Group Policy, Azure, and DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, IT, CS or related field; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• 6-12 years of relevant experience; working knowledge of current systems and applications.
• Experience with storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies; PowerShell experience.
• MCSE/MCSA or security certifications preferred; DoD clearance advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy security requirements.
• Deliver direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users via multiple channels.
• Configure IT infrastructure following best practices and DISA STIGs.
• Maintain server and system security for RMF accreditation packages.
• Monitor, evaluate and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems and networks.
• Install software, updates, patches and upgrades.
• Manage ADS or Azure DevOps Server repositories.
• Provide guidance on branching/merging, workstation configuration and tool usage.
• Coordinate OS, middleware and database patching and upgrades.
• Support application teams and identify server needs for new apps.
• Mentor junior team members and provide end-user training.
