Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator/Helpdesk Manager to administer and advance our cloud platform infrastructure. The role emphasizes automating deployments, maintaining cloud systems, and implementing standards for cloud operations across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications include U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a security clearance, and a 5-days-in-office requirement in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen required.
Eligibility to apply for and hold a US security clearance (investigation is part of employment).
Ability to work Hybrid in-office schedule and in office as needed.
BS or higher in computer science, IT, engineering, applied mathematics, or related field.
8+ years relevant work experience with BS.
6+ years relevant work experience with MS.
Acquire 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+) within 60 days and maintain it.
Experience managing a team.
Relocation to Raleigh NC; in-office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

Administer, develop, configure, implement, and maintain cloud platform systems.
Maintain public/private cloud systems and deploy them in an automated way.
Design and implement new on-premises and cloud systems following best practices.
Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
Produce detailed documents and diagrams for IT infrastructure.
