Job summary

CGS seeks a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and implement SAN architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The role covers performance, replication, DR, backup, and security, with emphasis on standards and processes.

Collaboration with internal/external teams is essential to meet 24/7/365 uptime goals. The candidate will architect private cloud and hybrid cloud solutions, including Gov Cloud exposure, and produce documentation, roadmaps, and cost models

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or other relevant discipline.
• Eight years of experience may substitute for degree.
• Significant direct experience with Dell EMC storage products (OneFS, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain) and RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements SAN architecture for EMC-based storage infrastructure.
• Assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
• Define strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
• Design storage requirements into enterprise solutions and deploy them.
• Produce standards for configuration, optimization, replication, and security.
• Triage complex SAN issues and coordinate with internal/external customers.
• Maintain 24/7/365 uptime of SAN infrastructure and related services.
