CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement full-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and produce standards and processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, and security.

Pay Range

Range provided by CGS Federal. Actual pay depends on skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter.

Base pay range: $100,949.33/yr - $137,002.66/yr

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAN architecture for EMC-based infrastructure, considering performance, capacity, replication, disaster recovery, and security.
• Define strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
• Translate storage requirements into enterprise solutions.
• Plan storage capacity and report utilization.
• Develop standards for storage configuration, optimization, and security.
• Troubleshoot SAN issues and collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Participate in maintenance and projects on storage infrastructure.
• Create technical documentation, roadmaps, and cost models.
• Manage SAN infrastructure to ensure 24/7 uptime.
• Architect and maintain private and hybrid cloud environments, including Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Perform security tasks such as vulnerability scans, patch management, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or relevant field; 8+ years of relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience with Dell EMC products (OneFS, MDS SAN switches, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain, RecoverPoint).
