Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to serve as the senior client-facing technology leader for the Cloud Solutions team. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, identify opportunities, and develop strategies that deliver measurable value.

You will guide the solution lifecycle from discovery to deployment, collaborating with vendors, delivery teams, and the Cloud Center of Excellence to ensure alignment with standards and long-term supportability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of related experience in solution architecture.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and trusted partner for business stakeholders.
• Lead client engagement activities, including discovery, requirements gathering, and workshops.
• Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions aligned with goals.
• Guide the full solution lifecycle from concept through deployment and transition.
• Develop solution strategies, roadmaps, and delivery plans for cloud initiatives.
• Lead engagements from concept through implementation and operational transition.
• Collaborate with leaders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to Architects, Engineers, and delivery staff.
• Evaluate technology options based on value, cost, risk, and supportability.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for successful outcomes.
• Drive solution delivery adoption and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Support portfolio planning and demand management to align with priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and accelerate timelines.
