Job summary

Role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, with 12+ years of software engineering or 16 years without a degree; cloud/IR, Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, and container skills strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 12 years in software engineering plus 4 years in Big Data cloud tech.
• Or 16 years of software engineering without a degree; master's substitutes for 2 years.
• Cloudera certification substitutes for 1 year of cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test, and maintain distributed Big Data cloud systems and back-end pipelines.
• Implement Java apps, RESTful services, and MapReduce analytics for large data sets.
• Integrate with Cloud Bigtable, HDFS, and ZooKeeper in multi-node environments.
• Design workflows to ingest, parse, normalize, and index XML, JSON, CSV, Avro formats.
• Manage multi-node Linux/CentOS cloud installations and secure apps with PKI and auth services.
• Provide technical leadership on trade-offs, COTS/GOTS integration, and code reuse.
• Profile and optimize JVM memory and application performance.
