Job summary

Waters Corporation in Milford, MA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Global Software Engineering team. You will contribute to cloud-native solutions, backend services built with C#/.NET, and AWS-based architectures supporting laboratory and data management workflows.

As a senior engineer, you will lead design discussions, mentor teammates, and deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a software developer with C#/.NET and AWS.
• Experience with microservices, API development, and cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices (Unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD).
• Proven ability to lead design and agile delivery.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead User Story refinement meetings to ensure stories are understood and decomposed adequately
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, document and implement quality solutions
• Work independently and as part of a team with deep focus on hard technical problems and explain the why, how, and what that makes your solution technically sound
• Stay ahead of the curve with respect to new technologies and techniques with an eye towards continual improvement of both the team’s skill set and the product goals
• To act as technical expert and mentor for coding, process and best practices and effectively communicate this to the team
• Collaborate across teams to improve working practices and skill levels
• To carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the Quality Policy and all applicable procedures
