Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Sr. Principal Cloud Lead to guide our Enterprise Cloud initiatives across AWS and Azure in a global setting.

You will shape cloud strategy, oversee onboarding of workloads, and drive modernization and governance across platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost optimization. The role demands 12+ years in cloud engineering/architecture, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise with IaC and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or related roles.
• 8+ years with AWS and/or Azure in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Deep knowledge of cloud governance, landing zones, security, and compliance (GxP).
• Experience leading enterprise cloud transformation and cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience with agile/scrum and project estimation.
• Experience managing offshore teams and SI partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cloud engineering strategy across AWS and Azure with governance and best practices.
• Drive onboarding of new enterprise workloads through scalable landing zones and platform capabilities.
• Lead application modernization and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
• Define architectures for networking, identity, security, resiliency, observability, and automation.
• Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies using Terraform and CI/CD platforms.
• Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory and GxP compliance through secure-by-design architectures.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and Application teams to deliver reliable and cost-optimized cloud platforms.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across the Global One Cloud organization.
