Veeam is seeking a senior security engineer to design and operate detection systems across multi-cloud environments, lead incident response, and drive a proactive vulnerability management program for Azure and AWS workloads.

You will build automation, collaborate with engineering, and ensure auditor-ready evidence for SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, while advancing threat hunting and incident response capabilities across VDC security engineering.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or vulnerability management, with hands-on experience investigating security incidents.
• Proven ability to build detection rules and analytics that identify real threats while managing false positives.
• Experience designing incident response workflows with triage, escalation, and containment strategies.
• Track record of running vulnerability management programs including scanner tuning and SLA enforcement.
• Strong cloud security fundamentals across Azure and AWS, recognizing attack paths and misconfigurations.
• Experience turning threat hunting and remediation into repeatable automation (code/templates).
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms (Sentinel/Splunk) for log analysis and alerting.
• Familiar with regulated-security requirements and producing compliant evidence.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and how to apply it to detection and prevention.
• Demonstrated ability to ship production code or security automation (open-source or internal).

Aufgaben

• Design and deploy detection rules across multi-cloud infrastructure using SIEM and analytics.
• Build incident response runbooks and automate triage, containment, and remediation workflows with audit trails.
• Develop detection logic with low false positives for fast investigation and response.
• Own vulnerability management program, including scanner integration, severity, and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security telemetry and vulnerability scanning in apps and infra.
• Coordinate with Compliance to generate auditor-facing evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, HITRUST.
• Lead threat hunting initiatives to identify compromises and persistence mechanisms.
• Define and evolve incident response playbooks, containment strategies, and post-incident reviews.
